BEAUX ARTS INSTALLS 48th President
Beaux Arts of the Museum of Art, Inc., installed their 48th President on May 14th at the home of Lisa Scott-Founds with the assistance of Micki Lindemann. It was a pirate theme including outgoing President, Carrie Tidwell walking the plank! Dawn Read was installed as President, Lee Sheffield- Vice President, Mandy Haagenson- Membership, Tucker Jaxtheimer-Treasurer, Casie Tate- Secretary and Mary Forman Public Relations.
Beaux Arts is a fundraising arm for the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale and has contributed over $4 MILLION dollars to the MOAFL since the groups inception in 1959. With just over sixty active members and one hundred and sixty associate members, the organization is going strong.
The ladies of Beaux Arts host a variety of events including Festival Of Trees at the Galleria set for November 16-25 featuring an opening night reception and a special Teddy Bear Tea at the Capital Grille with a surprise visit from Santa celebrating his arrival at the Galleria Mall. Past events include Las Olas Art Festival and the famous Promenade in the Park.
