50th Anniversary FOUNDERS TRIBUTE LUNCHEON

2008 marks an important milestone in the life of our art museum and our community. It's the 50th anniversary of the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale! To celebrate, we are planning a year of festivities including a very special Founders Tribute Luncheon on Friday, April 25, 2008.
- The Founders Tribute is designed to honor our founding organization - the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale and the volunteer groups who have served the Museum over the last 50 years including Beaux Arts, Friends of the Museum, and the Museum Docents.
- In recognition of exemplary service, contribution, and dedication to the Museum, we have created a new honorary award - the Mary McCahill Award.
- The Mary McCahill Award will be presented for the first time at the luncheon to prominent Fort Lauderdale educator, cultural leader, and longtime Museum supporter, Anna McDaniel.
- Our Founders Tribute Luncheon is being spearheaded by a dynamic committee involving members from the Junior League and each of our Museum auxiliary groups.
- Under the leadership of Co-Chairs Doreen Koenig and Daren Koenig Cronin and Sheri and Jennifer Whittington, our event committee will reach out to our founding supporters while building the foundation of future support for the Museum of Art.
